Frederico is a great teacher, I really enjoyed attending the A1 Portuguese class at Lisbon Language Café. He has an excellent sensitivity for what the group needs and communicates very clearly. I just finished the A1 intensive course and would 100% recommend the school. Frederico is a really good teacher. With his calm & focused attitude he makes sure everyone can follow the lesson & gets you to actually speak. The atmosphere in the class was very light-hearted and we shared laughs & stories. The other teacher Sara always took her break with us students, which was very nice & personal. We’d go to a café and she helped us order stuff in Portuguese & learn other important day-to-day conversations. By the end of these two weeks I’m impressed how far I’ve come with Portuguese. ***Excellent*** I took the A1 Portuguese from Scratch course over 2 weeks - It was one of the best experiences I've had since coming to Portugal! Frederico and Susanna are fantastic teachers and all of the lessons were well planned, engaging and good fun. The small group size of 4 students worked perfectly and there were lots of opportunities to speak, listen and work directly with F and S. While my Portuguese is still far from perfect, i feel that the course has provided me with a firm understanding of the basic structure of the language. As a result, I am a lot more confident when speaking in everyday situations. I will be returning to the Language Cafe for conversational classes over the coming weeks. This was the best language class I've ever attended. I have just finished attending the A1 level and the course was very well structured and the teachers' style made it great for me to absorb a great deal of vocabulary, grammar and quite a few Portuguese cultural aspects I was never aware of in just two weeks. Although most schools are doing online courses at the moment worldwide (due to the ongoing pandemic), they still offered the option to do the course in class with all necessary measures and everything went perfectly fine and we all got a lot out of these two weeks. Clara recently joined the school as a teacher and she adds great value to the course. Both herself and Frederico are very knowledgeable and have remarkable teaching skills, all of which made me see this course as a terrific experiece! I have really enjoyed learning Portuguese with the Lisbon Language Café. My teacher Frederico has been great at creating a friendly and relaxed learning environment. The Lisbon Language Café's methodology gets you speaking and writing right away, making the classes fun and varied. Furthermore they some good podcasts and a interactive learning platform for developing your skills. I can definitely recommend the Lisbon Language Café. I took the A1 Portuguese from scratch course with Frederico and I really enjoyed it. The class was small ( 5 people) and every student had equal opportunity to practice and ask as many questions as they want. Frederico and Melissa were very patient and took their time explaining everything. The class was fun, the group was young and the teachers had a sense of humor. In two weeks you cover the material that is needed for basic communication in Portugal and you learn useful things that will help you get around in this country. I highly recommend it! I very much enjoyed this Portuguese course in Lisbon. The classes are fun and conversational while still learning all the key grammar items. I took the A1 Portuguese from scratch intensive course and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn Portuguese in Lisbon. Frederico is a fantastic teacher. His calm and patient demeanor along with his clear and easy to follow teaching method made this class a very enjoyable way to learn. I have attempted to teach myself Portuguese multiple times over the years and, after taking this course, I can honestly say that this is the first time that I have felt that I had any actual command of the language. Unfortunately they are extremely busy with a lot on their plates and could not find a place for me even with my open schedule. I will have to look elsewhere to continue past A1. I took Portuguese from Scratch classes (level A1) and was very satisfied with everything. Frederico and Marta are both great teachers with lecturing style I really enjoyed. We had fun and learned the basics of Portuguese language. Now I´m hoping to continue the classes with our group and learn more. Love this school. Took an A1 class and now continuing with private 1-1s. I've learned so much in just one 2-week intensive that made me way more confident and competent speaking Portuguese. My boyfriend and I took the A1 class with Frederico and Melissa and we really learned a lot! The classes were fun and exciting. They were very patient and really knowledgeable teachers. In the two weeks that we were with them, we learned basic Portuguese language that are very helpful with our everyday lives in Lisbon.
